Unabridged text of meeting between Ramlal Bomjon & Nepali PM Koirala

A pseudo dialogue where nothing is said

It appears through this actual event fully recorded, what the actual both intellectual and spiritual capacity of Mr Ramlal Bomjon really is. He speaks like a four years old boy who has seen very little of schools, and would probably not even be able to spell the word education. His preoccupation is only to get what he wants, like a little boy. He doesn’t really know how to express himself even in his own native Nepali language, gives an absolutely interesting insight on his mindset, and shows that he probably never even wrote himself any of his speeches.

It seems clear why he needs donation money, among other things to finance the salaries of the Khenpos he hires, which are the most likely explanation of the apparent validity of ‘his’ teachings. Whenever captured on tape, on always wanders what is it he really understands, and why does he rarely takes part to any recorded sessions.

It also explains the crucial role played by Mrs Andrea Good, as the only translator used essentially to beautify his text in English and through the deceptive gloss she places over the translations make believe everyone the big farce that is being served to collect money from the easily gullible.

Prime Minister Koirala:

May there be utmost peace in our nation, it is Buddha’s-peace, non-violence and stability be here. Buddha’s as well with regards to harmony for democracy, this nation, especially for development, and taking the lead for development. With regards to that, I just want peace. May there be peace and stability, then only we will achieve these things. This Democratic Republic has become inclusive. This is all good achievement. Even for democracy equal opportunity for everyone has become an achievement. Now we are trapped in conflict. Even now the matter of conflict, terrifying people, coercion, are all against Buddhist religion. We are trying to displace that.

Here poor youths, ladies and young men amounting to 3.5 to 4 million in number are having to go abroad. Whereas nature has provided us with everything here. This huge water resource is our asset. All the raw material of the nation is taken away. We sell it for 1 Rupee. We are having to buy the same for 100 Rupees. May Nepal and Nepali be free from this. And now we are all determined to make investment.

But when peace is violated, after that the same movement, vandalizing, terror, coercion, if still existent, who will have to bear the loss, national will move towards poverty again. Therefore I just have one issue, how can Nepal and Nepali co-exist and live with happiness, prosperity and stability. There is huge terrorism, instability in the world and everybody is in the search of peace.

Now Buddha is the path, isn’t it peace and non-violence? Therefore we also want the same, I am also searching for the same. Now Nepal will issue its constitution in 3, 4 months. What I would ask you to do is to assure Nepali people, your mission, speech should target how to maintain and peace and stability to enable entire Nepali to live with happiness, peace and stability.

May the outbound 3 to 3.5 million youths return. By progressing here in Nepal using our natural resources we can provide employment to millions of people. We are in a position to provide employment for out comers. Nowadays we hear about the death of the poor people in Gulf countries every single day. By living in such a remote area, hot sand, doing such difficult work; at least it is not like that here. Hence may such an environment be created where all Nepali can live with happiness and prosperity.

Ramlal Bomjon:

If the government is able to be a little concerned about Dharma, having faith and belief in Dharma, a little trust on religion, we are there to spread peace. If Nepal government shows a little concern towards us, I don’t think it is undo-able. If asked why, it is because we can make people understand, convince people and accommodate everyone. People have faith in religion. Even if 5 people out of 100 have blind faith, we can bring the 95 to have faith.

In order to establish peace in Nepal we are making attempts for it. But due the cross-accusations made upon us, it is evident that you have to help and cooperate with us a little intensely. Even in the forest we are frustrated, cross-accusations are made upon us, let us not say it to you, but perhaps a little to the ground staff… The intellectuals are from the vicinity of the village, they have made the orders. Reality is, they should have helped and cooperated with regards to religion, but it has not happened.

Whenever we do anything, they ask us to go up. When we go up they ask to go down. We are lost in between. We who work have belief that we will get help and cooperation in the forest. You have expressed good things for a better national and deep sentiment for the people. Although am also seen as a commoner, being a citizen have become known in the world as a Guru and have reached that level in the form of Guru. How much of faith, belief, and trust you have on that is something which you have discretion upon. I have faith in religion and belief that all of you will improve.

We also have to keep in mind about disturbance in betterment if the capable has to face blind faith, and cross-accusations by a couple of people. Not even little positive thing about the nation has reached to the international community. I am also making attempts to establish a little bit of identity of the nation. I don’t know what you all think about this, I believe in you all. Having deep faith in you from within I strongly believe that we would be able to receive a forest. In order to do these things from my side, let us propose for the forest. I think that I can do something for the nation.

Gentleman:

I would like to tell couple of general things to the honorable Prime Minister about the time when 15 to 20 people were dying every day. When Guru entered Jungle for penance on May 15, 2005 after that along with stability of Nepal and in course of establishment of democracy and republic, the activities of Maoists also started getting calmed down.

Now in this environment the religious forest which is Halkhoriya, Guru is in that area. We had fenced the area of 600 Hectares by barbed wire. We did religious programs, and it was our area for temple and huts etc. All our religious activities were our programs. It was place of residence for our disciples of sangha and after the government demolished this structure, Guru was not allowed to enter there.

Unnecessary activity was done by using media and journalists. Later on when we entered Halkhoriya on June 10 appellate court had issued an interim order. Even during that time armed forest guards along with 700 police personnel came and tried to remove Guru from there. I was myself in Halkhoriya and Piluwa and told the next day that the police chased everyone but could not find Guru. This was told by the forest officials there.

Mr. Prime Minister there were two things that were seen there. The pond that is in Halkhoriya is used for fishery and lot of people come for fishing there. Since that is a national forest area, I think that even the staffs are not able to make a decision. And I feel like a crowd of smuggler of firewood and the ones who cut trees in that national forest area. They could not even pick a leaf of a tree during Guru’s stay there for 6 years and those people are making accusations against us in the administration of Bara, is what we have felt. We don’t have problem in other districts. For instance Guru stayed in Sindhupalchowk, Sindhuli, Sarlahi, Patharkot. We were not bothered by administration in any of these districts but Bara’s administration especially the forest officials chase Guru in the night time. They say that there is no order for Guru to stay here from high command, and Mr. Prime Minister when we ask if they don’t know about Guru residing there since 6 years they say they do know.

Prime Minister Koirala:

When forest mafia does so, land mafias would have already entered and they don’t believe in any god, religion.

Ramlal Bomjon:

We have to maintain the prestige of the nation, everyone should be together even the people having blind faith…. We have to adopt the path of peace not violence. May everybody improve, be able to be religious and conserve water beings. Somebody of our nation is PM, king, some of them well-established, and some in illusion. Whatever I have been doing is for the well-being of the world, not for my ego. You have to understand that if you are able to provide the forest, I can do the rest and other nations also want this to happen. National and international entities raise question about this. What can we say? Whatever is there is okay, fine, and we have no resentment is what we say. Our negative things should not reach out to other countries.

Boundless stupidity

The saga of scandals continues, how can it be otherwise with a fundamentally irresponsible management and this culture of blind devotion within the organization disregarding the elementary principles of honesty. Closest aid steels 11 000 USD.

Boundless stupidity

Limitless incompetence

After all the warnings on miss-management, diligence, honesty, responsibility the community around Mr Ramlal Bomjon continues to manifest new scandals in their midst. The latest in a string of events of which we only see the tip of the iceberg, is the theft of money by one of those about whom we kept warning all the way to Mr Ramlal Bomjon himself. His close executor of every order Mr Darshan Limbu whom he kept welcoming back around him, despite all the stern warnings issued by the president Kim, by Dawa, by so many others I would rather not name. Rather than avoiding scandals and cleaning up the highly compromised groupies around him, chaos and corruption were kept close at hand, the reason given was that Mr Ramlal Bomjon needed people close to the mafia in Nepal for his protection.

Is that not silly! Now they publish this information:

“Two former Bodhi Shrawan Dharma Sangha assistants previously working closely with Guru have now left, and no longer serve as links to Guru’s Dharmic Centre. Ngima Dawa Tamang last year resigned his Committee position to serve elsewhere. Devotees wishing information re Puja, visits, pick-up or accommodation should send all queries directly to dharxxxxxx@xxxxx.com

Darshan Limbu (Foon Chook / Diviya Darshan) made a contract promising to work for BSDS Office for two years. Then making sangha disciples believe he had many serious problems, he took from the Office funds the equivalent of eleven-thousand US$, saying he was going to Kathmandu to send the money to his family. Since then however, he has disappeared; he has not returned to fulfill his work contract; nor has he contacted sangha, disciples or the Dharma Sangha Office. The Office however has received reports that Darshan Limbu has been approaching national and international sangha members as a Guru-disciple, sharing sangha photos and various persuasive stories to ask for money privately.

Bodhi Shrawan Dharma Sangha Central Office herewith makes the Maitri Request that all sangha members, followers and devotees be on the alert for this kind of persons.”

That Darshan is the very same person involved in the detention and abuse of 2 women.

Conclusion

The saga of scandals continues, how can it be otherwise with a fundamentally irresponsible management and this culture of blind devotion within the organization disregarding the elementary principles of honesty. Without any special power of prediction, the future will be a self-repeating cycle where the same deeds and actions cause the same outcomes. No enlightenment required to come to that kind of conclusions.

Why is the name of Dawa mixed up with the name of Darshan? Are the two things related, if not why create more confusion? Probably because that’s the only thing that they are specialized in: “creating confusion”.

We are all responsible

Those who willingly put aside their own autonomy, their own moral judgement, to obey even a Christ, a Buddha, or a Krishna, do so at risk of losing a great deal more than they can hope to gain.

We are all responsible

Doing nothing is akin to condoning unethical behaviour

Mr Ramlal Bomjon, who appeared first in the news as a young boy without much education from Nepal, who left to go meditate in the jungle, has gradually taken on the role and authority that everyone gave him. His meditative skills were masking what he was growing into.

As the Dalai Lama (1999) expressed his own opinion, regarding the value of investigative journalism, welcoming it unlike the treatment given by the aides of Mr Ramlal Bomjon to the journalist in 2012, coming to report on the detention two women:

“I respect and appreciate the media’s interference…. It is appropriate … to have journalists … snooping around and ex-posing wrongdoing where they find it. We need to know when this or that renowned individual hides a very different aspect behind a pleasant exterior.”

In the same line of wisdom Albert Einstein tells us:

“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”

The dream of a Buddha in our life time, and as soon as the nickname “Buddha Boy” hit the headlines of the press, we wanted so much to believe this was it, that the nickname was forged into factual reality by the power of our own desires.

Before showing any merit as a teacher or a guide, his followers made him a personality above all others, treating him like a god, imparting impunity to any of his actions, diverting the guilt towards the victims. For so many want to believe saints and sages have the best interest of everyone in their heart, in their speech, in their mind and through their actions.

We also want to believe that the ‘enlightened beings’ would never twist truth to suit their own desires or goals, and abuse their power to take advantage, be it sexually or otherwise, of their followers.

Of course, disclosures will create a good amount of exasperation among the obedient followers, for whom the “perfection” and infallibility of their leader is not open to questioning. However if truth ever matters, then we need to welcome that the lies and abusive behaviours of the people in position of spiritual authority be laid bare to the rest of the world.

In this circumstance exposing them to the public scrutiny is the only way to get them to stop with the damaging practices.

Conclusion

Those who willingly put aside their own autonomy, their own moral judgement, to obey even a Christ, a Buddha, or a Krishna, do so at risk of losing a great deal more than they can hope to gain.

“Nothing was true of all that she had believed, but the falsest thing of all was what she had mistaken for revealed truth.”

Thank you Michiel for your informative perspective and testimonial. You are highlighting what many have also witnessed. The outlandish claims and projects, as the tragic events which leave every one with big question marks, and deeply shocks decent and honest people.

Witness account first signs of cultism around Mr Ramlal Bomjon

Message from Michiel Hegener

I applaud the new content of the website. Out of curiosity I visited Halhoriya for 6 days in May 2011, partly because I had to be in India and Nepal anyway for my work as a journalist. I do not need any guru, but I thought that there might be an interesting story to write. So, I interviewed many people during that week. Marici was there as well and we met of course.

I saw no signs, or hardly any, that there was a cult in the making. In fact, I had a very nice and pleasant week with the jolly crowd gathered there.

Soon after my return I started having doubts about DS because of:

  • The naming-and-shaming-manner in which Khenpo was thrown out
  • his plan to have a painting made of him holding hands with the Buddha and Jesus while Jesus was holding hands with Mohammed. Given the cruel conquest of Christian lands by Muslims since the days of Mohammed, and the persecution world wide of Christians by Muslims, this painting idea was stupid in the least and in fact hugely insulting to Christ and his followers
  • the treatment of Marici who was accused of things which she did not do and was ostracized by DS in the autumn of 2011
  • the subsequent imprisonment of Marici during the first three months of 2012, about which she informed me soon after her release. There is no doubt that she was imprisoned: two members of the Sangha, whom I met in August 2012, told me how the Sangha had had a meeting in Halkhoriya with DS in attendance, during which they decided to release Marici and the other prisoner, Ana Maati (who I met from a distance in 2011).

Feel free to publish this mail!

Kind regards
Michiel Hegener

Thank you

No Dharma and No Sangha

From: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20151007054558/http://www.dharma-sangha.com/news/2015/04/09/no-dharma-and-no-sangha

by This website | Apr 09, 2015
There can be no Dharma, where women or men are detained. There can be no Dharma that is imposed by force, manipulation or lies.

No Dharma, no Sangha

No Dharma

Dharma is not the production of one to one and a half A4 paper length of Buddhist text per year in a fairly unclear Nepali translated by an American that contain enough times the words guru, maitri, compassion, peace and other keywords. It is not a few sessions of blessings per year. Speeches and so-called teachings, alone without any exchange or explanations, is just a mere make-up or thin paint to make it look like Buddhist, or look like Dharma. Add to this the various layers of incompetence, lack of any merit, switched off consciences of the inner circle of groupies, it breaks apart all the very letters of the word dharma, and throws the meaning of the word to a giant pit of futility.

There can be no Dharma, where women or men are detained. There can be no Dharma that is imposed by force, manipulation or lies. A puja which is unfolding while someone is chained, journalists are being attacked, is not a puja, it’s just a deceiving spectacle which hides a cruel and tragic flip side.

Pretending that it didn’t happen is not Dharma. Disregarding the suffering of those victims is not Dharma.

No Sangha

A Sangha is not the count of Facebook likes, or of followers on Social Media. A Sangha is not the recitation of Maitri Mangalam added on comments online. A Sangha is not about pretending the existence of branches all over the world with no one any where that has the capacity and merit to transmit a Dharmic teaching. A local Nepali Sangha is not the appointments of political or influential people at the head of local committees which are operated without any review or verification process.

Monks that receive no training, no education, no teaching, are just merely individuals wearing the clothing of monks. When monks are not real monks, and we have a Sangha that is not really a Sangha, a teacher that doesn’t really teach but rather keeps showing us what not to do, and where there is no Dharma, what do we have then? Let’s a cat a cat, it seems there is only ‘Facebook likes’, Followers of the virtual sphere of the Social Medias. Some call it just marketing, others might call it propaganda, some could even call it a business. Repeating the same sentences, and uttering more or less the same jargon doesn’t define any more this loose community as a Sangha.

What are the available definitions of a Sangha

On the website ‘Access to insight, the following definition is given:

In the suttas the word sangha (lit. “group, assembly”) is usually used in one of two ways: it refers either to the community of ordained monks and nuns (bhikkhu-sangha and bhikkhuni-sangha) or to the community of “noble ones” (ariya-sangha) — persons who have attained at least stream-entry, the first stage of Awakening. The definition of ariya-sangha, according to the Mahanama Sutta:

“The Sangha of the Blessed One’s disciples who have practiced well… who have practiced straight-forwardly… who have practiced methodically… who have practiced masterfully — in other words, the four types [of noble disciples] when taken as pairs, the eight when taken as individual types — they are the Sangha of the Blessed One’s disciples: worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality, worthy of offerings, worthy of respect, the incomparable field of merit for the world.” – AN 11.12

Conclusion

Can anyone among the inner circle of management claim to have attained any of those levels of practice? Has there ever been anyone taught by Mr Ramlal Bomjon who has achieved any level of Awakening that might be qualified to teach others in his turn? In the last nine years, a profusion of promises for the writing of a book, for teachings, for learning a mysterious Maitri language, for building a big Therthup Hall Temple, for Maitreya Statues, for saving the Halkhoriya forest, so many unfulfilled promises, which have not taught anything to anyone.

Questions from devotees

We are receiving questions from devotees addressed to Ramlal Bomjon.

His devotees wondering

  1. When Guruji has the most powerful Bhaitri mantra, and prayers calling upon many wrathful divinities that are there to subjugate demons, why would he be unable to protect the pregnancies of Guru Amma from supposed witchcraft against her? – Jesus casted demons out of people and healed anyone from any disease, even from being lamed or blind their whole life through.
  2. If Guruji can receive messages from his divinities, representing directly Maitriya on the earth, why does he need to often inquire by phone about the deeds and motivations of his followers, in fear of conspiracy, of bad motives, of corruption, asking one about the other?
  3. We heard of numerous laws suits against Guruji, what is the validity of those? Why doesn’t he communicate openly about it?
  4. Why does Guruji hide the truth about himself and the actions of his entourage to the wider public. It seems like there is two faces to his speeches, one oral, and the other of controversial actions. He seems to preach one thing, but practices something very different. Is there a reason to this duality?
  5. Guruji, you speak of non-violence in most of your speeches yet it became known that you used violence yourself on a few people, no matter what the justification. Is this not a contradiction? You also say in your teaching: “Never discriminate on the basis of name, appearance, complexion, class, belief, community, power, position, or qualification…” Yet you practice discrimination between your own devotees; some have been banned, others are in positions of favor, to some you are kind while others are expelled in rather violent ways. Is this not a contradiction too?

As it has been nearly impossible for his devotees to ask direct questions to him, we will regularly publish the questions they haven’t been able to send directly to him and receive answers to them.
